Take 2
Synopsis
Take 2 is an online comedy web series based around a group of hapless film-makers attempting to make a horror film where uniquely, the drama is inter cut
with vox pops that are sometimes related to each episode...and sometimes not.
How it's made
In the first week of June 2010, a group of students headed up by BAFTA award
winner Chris Bould, started production on a new web-series and after a handful
of days not only produced the first show, but a web site which broadcast the first
episode resulting in over 24,000 hits in just 10 days.
Take 2 is created and made exclusively by Met Film School students in the first year of their BA Practical Filmmaking degree. Forget low budget, this is seriously NO budget!
Each day three shooting crews and a writing team of 6, maintain a ridiculous tempo and hit ambitious
Each day three editors recieving a never ending stream of footage, not only keep up with this ambitious schedule, but manage to create edits and sound designs to rival the best out there.
The Take 2 production office manages the 30 strong team, who rotate their positions everyday, giving each student the opportunity to work in all roles from digitiser to producer.
Integrating the vox pops into the drama, shooting on HD, writing daily scripts, Take 2 is trying to push the boundaries of the web series.
